Summit High School
Hi there! Before coming to UCR, I attended Summit High school, where I also had to commute at least 20 minutes. I am a 4th year Biochemistry major, with an emphasis in Biology. When I began college, my career and social goals were all over the place, but that's all part of the journey. I was worried I was not as involved as I have seen others, but that can vary for everyone. Now, I am a MARC U STAR Trainee, President of the MARC U STAR Program at UCR, Treasurer of the Book Bears, a CNAS Scholar PAL, and a STEM Peer Mentor. I am also doing research at the McCole Lab on campus, and will be attending as many scientific conferences as I can! I plan to go to graduate school after college to get my PhD somewhere within the Biomedical Sciences. Away from academics, I love anime, puzzles, and having different kinds of animals for my pets! Don’t be shy to say hi!

Applied Mathematics emphasis on Biology
Fullerton College
I transferred from Fullerton College in Winter 2020. During my time at Fullerton College, I presented at the MREC^3 Conference at CSUN for my research relating to Number Theory, participated in the Mathematics Club, volunteered through Co. Act (provides emotional and monetary relief for disaster stricken areas), and am a lifetime member of Alpha Gamma Sigma Honors Society. I also volunteer at the St. Jude Medical Center in Fullerton. Currently, I am active on campus and have participated in the Rose Hackathon where I wrote a website in HTML to list women mathematicians and their research. I hold the role of President for the Association for Women in Mathematics Chapter at UCR. Our goal is to inspire women to pursue research and careers in mathematics to diversify the field of mathematics. This will be my second year in this role. I am passionate about diversity and inclusion and am actively involved in the mathematics department, involved in CAMP (California Alliance Minority Participation), and am a STEM Peer Mentor. I am currently helping the coordinators with the Women in MathArt Conference and in addition coordinating a Sonia Kovalevsky Day (first woman to receive her PhD in mathematics), a day where high schoolers are introduced to advanced topics in mathematics. In addition, I am presenting at the SACNAS 2021 Conference and have been and currently researching with mathematics faculty - Dr. Glickenstein, Dr. Lin, and Dr. Karamchandani- at the University of Arizona where I had completed an REU- Research in Data Driven Discovery under funding from UROC and the WASEO Grant. I have a calico cat named Jack. I like listening to pop/rap/rock/metal music, playing games, watching anime, cartoons, and Youtube. I was very active on Youtube as a kid and developed a channel where I shared my lyric videos of my favorite songs that has over 3,000 subscribers. If you have any questions, you can search my name and send an email or connect on Linkedin. I also love hiking and tennis. Feel free to message me for hikes and tennis practices. I am told I am very chill.
